The school takes pride in being a happy and caring community, where academic attainment, supportive pastoral care and a variety of activities combine to offer an excellent education for boys and girls.
The Panel for Educational Policy (PEP) consists of 13 appointed members and the Chancellor. Each borough president appoints one member and the mayor appoints the remaining eight. The Chancellor serves as an ex-officio non-voting member. The PEP is responsible for electing a chairperson from among the voting members.
This school year, we made several important improvements to the School Quality Reports to incorporate school community feedback and build off of last year’s changes to move beyond test scores and focus on multiple measures of school improvement. Most significantly, the reports are now aligned to the six essential elements of the Framework for Great Schools: Rigorous Instruction, Collaborative Teachers, Supportive Environment, Effective School Leadership,
